ICONIC SUSSEX PUB & RESTAURANT BACK IN LOCAL OWNERSHIP

Updated: Feb 15, 2021

The historic country pub and restaurant, The Farm at Friday Street has been taken on by experienced Sussex operators Revived Inns Ltd. The Farm lies just five minutes from the centre of Eastbourne in Langney.

Revived Inns took over officially on Friday 12th February 2021. Once we are allowed to open, Food will be served all day and the bar will be open throughout until midnight at the weekends.

Tom Stovold the Director says “We are thrilled with this acquisition and can’t wait to throw the doors open to all its loyal local customers! Why not keep in touch with the pub through its Social Media page.”

The bar will be stocked with local beers from Harvey's & Long Man Brewery amongst others. A wine list featuring Bluebell Vineyard Estates looks very tempting with a great range of English and world wines by the glass. Sparkling rose and an English take on prosecco!

The new operators say “the emphasis will be very much on quality dining based on classic pub staples with some more adventurous offerings. We very much want to maintain the “country inn” atmosphere of the Farm and drinkers in the bar areas will be made to feel very welcome at all times. Teas, coffees, sandwiches and “bar nibbles” will also feature for those not wanting more substantial meals. Children will be welcome, as will dogs (on leads) in the bar areas.”

Work will soon be under way to enhance this gorgeous pub, including decoration, new flooring, new heating system and works to improve the beer garden. We plan to introduce a covered outdoor area suitable for COVID-19-dining.

The new manager Laura Smith says “I’m Looking forward to reviving a well-loved local pub, where you will be able to see some of the old teams faces as well as new ones. We have a new menu and will have some exciting chefs’ specials. Great Service is important to me and welcoming guests into our lovely friendly, warm pub.”

We cant wait to meet you all!

Replying to

I'm hoping now, we will see this local getting back to its previous level of quality, service and attendance.
